Changes in Society - Managing an Exhibition

The Solution to the Project Brief

Client's needs:

In meetings with the Education and Skills department at the Young Offenders' Institute (YOI) it was decided that the outcomes of the project would be a two day exhibition in the Chapel of the YOI, a travelling exhibition and a DVD of the project which would incorporate planning, running and evaluation of the project from tutor and participants.

The two video clips (see links at bottom of this page) show how the next stage of the project came together to create the exhibition.

The images show some of the resources used by the Young Offenders in creating their posters.  These had to be scanned by their tutor and brought into the classroom on a pen drive and then transferred individually onto the computers as they were needed.  The images from the Record Office were digitised and then put onto CD.  This had to go through a security check before the Young Offenders gained access to it in the classroom.  The download procedure was the same as for the images on the pen drive.
