Lancelot 'Capability' Brown

Lancelot 'Capability' Brown was a famous landscape architect, born around 1715. He designed over 170 parks, including Temple Newsam in Leeds. He was nicknamed "Capability" because he would tell his clients that their property had "capability" for improvement.
