Necklace with three Sikh emblems, India, circa. 2000. Two different forms of Sikh knives, a single-sided curved kirpan blade, and a double-sided more spade-shaped knife, hand on this neck cord. The third emblem is pale wood coloured plastic comb. The miniature knives have Gurmukhi script inscriptions. Worn round the neck by Sikhs in place of full-sized kirpan knives and kanga combs, as part of the wearing of the 5 K’s. © Leeds Museums and Galleries
