  • How were they different?
  • Why do you think they wore make-up?
  • Choose an object you have seen within this resource. What does it tells us about people's lives in the past?
  • Why are historical objects important?
  • What sort of objects from your own life do you think would give someone in the future an idea about how you live?

Activity Ideas

  • Create your own amulet: Pupils could research ancient Egyptian amulets in more detail and also more modern ones (such as lucky rabbit foot / four leafed clover).  They could then draw their own design for an amulet and explain what their amulet is for (good luck / protection against accidents / safe travelling etc).  Designs could then be created in air-drying clay.
  • Worksheet: Download this picture matching quiz activity on ancient Egyptian objects to use in the classroom.
