A Coffee Plant

The beans are green until they ripen, when they turn red. Coffee plants grow well under a temperate or tropical climate where there is no frost, lots of sunshine, and plenty of water. This made British colonies such as Jamaica perfect for coffee plantations during the 1800s when many white plantation owners used slave labour.
