This map of Kirkgate market in Leeds dates from 1901. It shows the original 15 'blockshops' which were open to the air. one of these was the original M&S market stall, where it all began for the Leeds based iconic company.The fish market that can be seen on the map was demolished, and is roughly in the lcoation of the current National Express office.
