David Arkush, FEPOW

This portrait of Captain Arkush was drawn by A. G. Old in Thailand in 1943. David Arkush was a qualified dentist and treated camp prisoners. He was allowed to visit the local shop for supplies, and used this relative freedom to buy and then smuggle earphones into camp, to use with a secret radio.
