Derek Fogarty, FEPOW

As a FEPOW, Derek was sent to work on the Sumatra jungle railway, and suffered from back problems later in life as a result of the long days of hard physical labour. He believed that having a small group of friends saved his life, as they all looked out for one another and supported each other through their imprisonment.
