Members of St Dunstan's During the First World War

This photograph was taken at the early headquarters of St Dunstan’s (now Blind Veterans UK). St Dunstan’s Lodge, in Regent’s Park, London, was also the main training and rehabilitation base. This image shows an important visitor, Major-General Sir Francis Lloyd (third from left, second row from the rear). Sir Francis had been responsible for the defence of London during the First World War. To the immediate right of Sir Francis (as you look at the photo) is the founder and first Chairman of the charity, Sir Arthur Pearson.
