Light Damaged Stays

This pair of stays (or corset) has suffered light damage, with the colour on one side having faded. It may have been on display near a window, where sunlight fell on this side. When curators are planning exhibitions now, the level of light in the gallery where the objects are displayed is an important factor to ensure that this kind of damage doesn't happen.
