Page From ‘Tommy Thumb’s Pretty Song Book’, c.1744

Although it was published nearly 300 years ago, many of the rhymes in this tiny book are still familiar with children today. Only one copy of this book is known to survive. Note that the lowercase ‘s’ looks very much like an ‘f’ in writing and printing at this time.
