Telegram from the Marine Superintendent in 1916

Telegram sent to Mrs Ada Altoft by the Marine Superintendent, Hull on 26 February 1916. The telegram notifies her that the Wilson Line ship the SS Dido, on which her son Jack was the second mate, had been sunk that morning. The Dido had struck a German mine in the mouth of the River Humber. Ada later found out that Jack had been killed
