The Calls in Leeds During the Victorian Period

View form Crown Point Bridge towards the Calls in Leeds. On the right is Leeds Tramways Electricity Generating Station, opened in 1897 to provide power for the tram system. In the centre of the view a new boiler house is being built. A coal barge can be seen on the River Aire.
