Wilson Line Ship the SS Eskimo

Gouache study for a poster showing the Wilson Line ship the SS Eskimo. The liner is shown sailing into a Scandinavian port, flying a Norwegian flag on its main mast. You can see passengers on the deck balconies. The Eskimo was taken over by the Royal Navy in 1914, then returned to the Wilson Line a year later. In July 1916 she was captured by a German cruiser at Risor in Norway
