The Importance of Museum Collections

The eggs the scientists used for their research were all sourced from museum collections. Objects in museum collections (including Natural Science specimens) are meticulously documented, with data showing where they were collected and when. This makes museum collections an incredibly important and precious source of information for all kinds of research projects. Museum collections enable the study of specimens both spatially (in different places) and temporally (at different times).
